So I came home this afternoon after being gone for a couple of hours. There was an ambulance parked out front. I started freaking out. My son was working in the backyard with an ax when I left. My wife has health issues. Then I see the paramedics coming out of the neighbor's house with a stretcher. I now feel both relieved and guilty at the same time. I'm glad my family is alright, but I hope the neighbor is going to be okay. It's a scary reminder of how quickly things can go wrong. We all need to be more careful and appreciate each day that we're healthy and safe.
