I get asked this question a lot, probably more than any other question when it comes to writing. I suspect that every writer has encountered this issue at one time or another. When I have trouble putting words to paper I use a number of methods to break through the block. One thing is changing projects. I like to juggle a couple of different projects at the same time. If I get stuck on one then I switch to the other.
Sometimes that doesn't work of course. Sometimes that block is iron clad. In that event I like to do some editing or take a road trip. I find that my best ideas come to me while driving, especially on long trips.
If that doesn't do the trick then streaming video is my friend. I will do a movie marathon or watch my favorite anime. I really love old Mel Brooks comedies. I can rewatch Robin Hood Men In Tights and Space Balls a hundred times without getting tired of them. Feel free to tell me what tricks that you love to use to break the great evil, Writer's Block.
